Dual Connect

Two lines are better than one. Make or receive a second call even while your phone is in use.

Backup Number

If your internet or power goes down, calls are automatically forwarded to another phone number.

Voicemail Monitoring

If you don’t recognize the caller-ID, listen as they leave a message and pick up the phone at any time to speak with the caller.

Private Voicemail

Make any PocketiTel Handset a private extension with a password-protected voicemail account. You can also set up personal greetings, customize privacy settings, and control voicemail notifications or forwarding.

Expanded Call Blocking

Select from three pre-configured protection settings, or build your own customized call blocking profile.

Call Forwarding

Forward your calls to any number, even your cell phone, so that you never miss a call.

Caller Name

See the names of callers, even if they’re not in your address book.

Voicemail-to-Email Forwarding (Audio)

Enjoy the ultimate convenience of having your voicemail messages forwarded to your email as an audio file.

Private Device

Set aside one or more of your phones as a dedicated line that will only ring when a particular phone number is dialed. Give anyone in the house their own telephone, set up a dedicated fax line, or separate your residential phone and work phone.

Do Not Disturb

Get peace and quiet whenever you want by simply pressing the envelope icon for two seconds. All of your calls will roll into voicemail without ringing.

Three-Way Conferencing

Whether you’re doing business or chatting with friends, three-way conference calling has never been easier.

Send to Voicemail

Transfer a call to voicemail by pressing the “Send to Voicemail” button at any time.

Questions About PocketiTel VOIP?
We Can Help Answer Them.

Voice over internet protocol (often referred to as VOIP) is a technology that delivers voice communications and other multimedia through the internet.

With VoIP, calls can be routed completely through any internet connection (including wifi) and can also be routed to other commonly used phone systems including landlines or cell phones.

Smartphones have changed personal and business communications. However, there are two important reasons why millions of individuals keep their home phone service with VoIP options like Ooma:

1. Accessibility: Most homes already have a broadband internet connection, making it easy to transfer a phone number or make a VoIP call. Similarly, Wi-Fi® has become much more of a commodity, allowing VoIP calls to be made from anywhere there is a Wi-Fi® connection.

2. Scalable: It’s very easy to add additional users to a call and add extra users to your home or business phone plan. With no contract necessary, unlimited calling and an easy DIY setup, it’s an excellent service option for families and home offices as well.

Sign up for Ooma Premier powered by PocketiNet and get service for $14.95/mo (plus taxes and fees).

PocketiTel’s VoIP phone service offers the 911 functionality you’d expect from a landline phone. However, it’s important to note that you must provide a valid address within your country of purchase when you set up your device, and update your address with the device if you move into a new home. With PocketiTel’s 911 service, emergency calls are routed to your local dispatcher instead of a national call center, and PocketiTel automatically relays your street address information to emergency services.

If your internet connection can handle Netflix or Facebook, your internet is probably fast enough for VoIP. According to the FCC, VoIP calls require internet speeds that have less than 0.5 Mbps download.

That’s very low! To put that number in context, streaming video uses internet speeds that are at least six times that, with recommendations at 3 to 4 Mbps download speed. Social media also uses more internet capacity than VoIP at 1Mbps download.
